Change
A river flows in the path of his desire
Cascading and splashing with geese afloat
The children explore with dreams to take fire
And conquer the river through all they devote
A change in direction could send them remote

A studio filled with those old to infant
Gather together under a sense of compassion
To succeed over all they believe that they can’t
And dance with devotion in a family-like fashion
A change in attitude could relinquish the passion

A father taught his daughter, with wisdom past his years
To chase all her dreams, whilst not being afraid
To persevere through the rough, with sweat and with tears
And bask in the glory when success ricocheted
A change in well-being could squander his aid

A friendship of five since the beginning of time
From adolescent quandaries to child’s play
Swore their loyalty through any design
And buried their promise, despite the cliché
A chance is disposition could lead them astray

A river flows in the path of his desire
Over rocks and down hills, through excitement and sorrow
Although life’s transitions may seem dark and dire
A change in today brings a better tomorrow
A change in today brings a better tomorrow
